2026 Rural Rental Housing Preservation Academy

The Rural Housing Preservation Academy is a series of no-cost training and peer learning sessions designed to help rural housing providers acquire and/or preserve USDA Rural Development (RD), HUD and LIHTC financed housing in their respective communities. Training sessions are open to existing owners/operators interested in preserving their properties or parties interested in acquisition for the purpose of preservation of property affordability.

East Colfax Community Collective (EC3) is a grassroots organization working to stabilize rents and prevent displacement in Denver’s East Colfax neighborhood—a historically diverse community facing rapid change. In September 2024, EC3 purchased 1371 Xenia, which is home to some of the neighborhood’s most vulnerable residents. Immediately after closing, EC3 and a resident-led stewardship committee identified urgent repair priorities.
