Together with partners and funders, we’ve helped create or preserve 23,584 affordable homes for families by leveraging over $2 billion in capital across the region.

Some of our key programs include:

  • Equitable Path Forward: A five-year, $3.5 billion nationwide initiative to help disadvantaged developers gain access to capital and resources.
  • Fifth Third Neighborhood Program: Promotes equitable growth and economic mobility in South Chicago in collaboration with local organizations.
  • Affordable Housing Decarbonization Hub: Connects multifamily portfolio owners to resources that support energy efficiency projects through an online platform.
  • Chicago Flats Initiative: Advocates for the preservation of Chicago’s two- to four-flat buildings to provide affordable rental and homeownership opportunities.
  • Elevated Chicago: Collaborates across sectors to promote equitable transit-oriented development of public spaces, buildings and vacant land.
  • Qualified Allocation Plan Equity Impact Assessment: Ensures that developments supported by Low-Income Housing Tax Credits are equitably allocated

Funder Spotlight

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago

It’s time to invest in housing providers who are deeply engaged in their own communities. Enterprise's Equitable Path Forward program is a five-year, $3.5 billion nationwide initiative to help disadvantaged developers gain access to capital and resources. Our Central Midwest cohort is supported by a grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. This generous grant supports technical assistance, professional development, networking events, and whole-cohort retreats for nine developers from all over the region.
