Enterprise Ohio is making one last push to connect as many families and individuals to free tax services as possible through the Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition, part of the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
Enterprise spoke with St. Vincent de Paul Georgia Executive Director Mike Mies to dig deeper into their work. Most recently, the organization participated in Enterprise’s Faith-Based Development Initiative in the Southeast, receiving training, technical assistance, and funding to support affordable housing development.
Enterprise has closed on the financing for the development of 76 new affordable apartments, Park Montgomery West, and the renovation of the 141-unit Park Montgomery Apartments, an existing apartment community located at 8860 Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Enterprise has closed on financing for Edgewood Commons V, consisting of nearly 800 affordable homes and part of the larger Edgewood Commons campus located in Northeast Washington, D.C.
While continued market uncertainty could cloud the outlook for affordable housing and community development in 2024, Enterprise leaders see reasons for optimism and the potential for significant opportunities. “Despite sustained headwinds over recent years, there are positive signs ahead,” said Scott Hoekman, president of Enterprise Housing Credit Investments. We spoke with Hoekman and other Enterprise capital experts about affordable housing and community development trends this year.
