Enterprise has extended a $2.3 million line of credit to Dabar Development Partners to support and help grow the firm’s affordable housing development in the New York City area.
Enterprise awarded up to $450,000 to 12 grantees to support for-profit organizations in the affordable housing industry to accelerate their housing development pipelines, bridge operational gaps, and fortify their property management infrastructure.
Power Forward Communities, a coalition Enterprise co-leads with some of the country’s most trusted community development, climate, and housing organizations, is purpose-built to decarbonize America’s homes and drive a market transformation that cuts costs, benefits renters and homeowners, and specifically focuses on low-income communities nationwide.
Homeward Central Harlem, which opened its doors in late 2023, is the nonprofit Homeward NYC’s third supportive housing development tailored to LGBTQ+ young adults between the ages of 18 and 25. The compact and modern nine-story building, sandwiched between two larger apartment buildings on a quiet street, includes 50 studio apartments as well as common gathering spaces with brightly colored furniture and accent walls. Staff provide services ranging from mental health counseling to job search training. Homeward Central Harlem also offers something less tangible: A place to recover, breathe, and chart a fresh start.
