Located in Seattle, Aurora House provides 87 studio apartments for chronically homeless men and women with disabilities. Using a “housing first” approach, developer and operator Downtown Emergency Services Corporation (DESC) offers comprehensive support services to help residents reach their greatest potential.
- DESC with the Client Care Coordination Council to identify and serve residents with the greatest needs at Aurora House.
- The property includes an indoor community and dining space, a courtyard garden and a rooftop deck.
- Aurora House is located near three Metro bus lines and along the future RapidRide E Line.
At more than $11.4 million, Gray’s Landing is Enterprise’s largest Low-Income Housing Tax Credit investment in Oregon. It is also our largest project with local partner REACH Community Development.
- Gray’s Landing won the 2013 Affordable Housing Vanguard Award in new construction [of] over 100 units from the National Affordable Housing Management Association.
- There are 42 apartments are set aside for military service men and women and their families.
- Gray’s Landing is located near jobs, retail shops, public transit and health care facilities.
Named after the legendary jazz singer, Ernestine Anderson, this property in Seattle provides green, affordable housing and supportive services to formerly homeless and other low-income seniors. This $13 million project with Enterprise Pacific Northwest partner Low Income Housing Institute is located in the city’s Central District neighborhood.
- Ernestine Anderson Place received the 2013 Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award by the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, earning honorable mention for outstanding senior housing.
- The development features 60 studio and one-bedroom apartments, an exercise room, a library with Internet-enabled computers, a classroom and an outside patio garden.
- Permanent homes linked with supportive services will be provided for 45 formerly homeless seniors, including eight veterans, as well as homes for 15 other low-income seniors.
Rio Bella, located in Oregon’s scenic Columbia Gorge, consists of two affordable housing properties, Rio Bella and Rio Bella Heights, which are operated by Columbia Cascade Housing Corporation.
- Rio Bella serves 14 households earning below 50 of area median income and 14 households earning up to 60 percent of area median income.
- Rio Bella Heights contains 26 apartments for households earning no more than 60 percent of the area median income.
- The Rio Bella and Rio Bella Heights properties were rehabilitated by installing new windows, siding, doors, fresh air intakes and continuously operating ventilation fans. Improvements were also made to the site grading and drainage.
- Not one family was permanently displaced during the eight-month renovation, which included upgrades to apartment interiors and exteriors.
