Last month, Alemseged Desta addressed a crowd of hundreds spilling out from under a canopy tent, all there to celebrate two important milestones: the ribbon cutting for the redeveloped Legacy at Twin Rivers, a mixed-income, multifamily community in Columbia, Maryland – the city Enterprise founder Jim Rouse created – and Enterprise’s creation of one million homes. This theme of legacy—of community, continuity, and commitment—was embraced in the naming of Desta’s new home, and by everyone gathered for the occasion.

Enterprise has closed on the financing for the development of 76 new affordable apartments, Park Montgomery West, and the renovation of the 141-unit Park Montgomery Apartments, an existing apartment community located at 8860 Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Enterprise was joined by city and state leaders today to celebrate the groundbreakings of Greens at Irvington Mews II and Park Heights Place, located in Baltimore’s Irvington and Park Heights Neighborhoods.
