Cleveland, OH (June 29, 2026) – Enterprise Community Partners, one of the nation’s largest affordable housing nonprofits, today announced the appointment of Ayonna Blue Donald as Vice President of the Midwest Market.
In this role, Blue Donald will lead Enterprise's efforts across Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin focused on delivering critically needed capital and resources to expand affordable housing and community development capacity in the region. This appointment brings two previously separate markets under her leadership and reflects Enterprise’s commitment to strengthening coordination across geographies that share common priorities around housing affordability, economic mobility, neighborhood investment, and equitable development.
"Ayonna’s proven track record as Ohio Market Leader and strong regional relationships made her an exceptional candidate for this expanded role," said Janis Bowdler, President, Solutions Division, Enterprise Community Partners. "She has already demonstrated what a regional approach looks like through cross-market work connecting Cleveland and Detroit. We are excited about the opportunities ahead to scale successful solutions, attract new investment, and advance housing policies that benefit communities across the Midwest.”
Blue Donald has served as Vice President and Ohio Market Leader at Enterprise for the past four years, during which she built deep relationships with funders and partners while growing impactful, sustainable programs. She leads strong coalitions in Ohio that provide critical services—from the $90 million Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition to the Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition, which serves 10,000 households annually. She has also launched innovative solutions in the market, such as Enterprise’s national Faith-Based Development Initiative and Rocket Community Fund’s Make it Home program.
“I’ve seen firsthand how communities across the Midwest are tackling similar challenges with creativity and determination,” said Ayonna Blue Donald, Vice President and Market Leader, Midwest Region, Enterprise Community Partners. “By connecting efforts and sharing what works, we can make safe, affordable housing a reality for more families across the region. I’m honored to lead this work and committed to ensuring that regional strategy is always grounded in local needs, priorities, and expertise.”
Originally from Detroit, Ayonna first made Cleveland home when she earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve University. She also holds a juris doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. Prior to joining Enterprise, she served as Director of Cleveland’s Department of Building & Housing for four years.
