Across the U.S., millions of people face interconnected barriers to economic mobility—including limited access to jobs, rising housing costs, and gaps in health care—that make it harder to achieve stability and opportunity.

Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) are designed to address these challenges by delivering flexible, mission-driven capital that supports locally led solutions. The 2025 Social Return on Investment (SROI) report shows how Enterprise brings together its CDFI, equity, and tax credit investments to drive economic development in practice, offering three case studies:

  • Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation (Chicago, IL): A former elementary school reimagined as a workforce hub offering job training, career resources, and financial services
  • Redondo Heights (Federal Way, WA): An affordable housing community preserved and expanded with new homes, transit access, and an on-site food pantry
  • Odyssey House – Bohn Motors (New Orleans, LA): A vacant car dealership redeveloped into a treatment center, health clinic, and pharmacy
