(New York, NY) – Enterprise Community Partners (Enterprise) today mourns the death of U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski, along with two members of her congressional staff, Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts, and another individual. Rep. Walorski was a staunch advocate of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit. Enterprise President and CEO Priscilla Almodovar made the following statement:

“We’re heartbroken to hear of Rep. Walorski’s death. She was a longtime champion of the Housing Credit during her service in Congress, working across the aisle to expand and strengthen the program to create affordable homes for the millions of Americans without one. We send our heartfelt condolences to her family, as well as to the families of her staff.”

Rep. Walorski was a cosponsor of the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act since it was first introduced and was the bill’s lead House Republican sponsor in the 117th Congress.
