Enterprise Faith-Based Development InitiativeSM provides helpful resource to support houses of worship looking to transform their underutilized land into affordable housing and communities amenities. These two case studies provide a helpful summary of how two faith-based organizations turned their visions into reality.

Chiles House is a sustainable supportive housing development in Portland Oregon. Catholic Charities of Oregon developed the multifamily new construction project on a small urban infill site they owned to meet the needs of Catholic Charities' clients and other Portland residents experiencing homelessness. 

Gilliam Place is a mixed-use redevelopment in Arlington, Virginia. Through intentional discernment, Arlington Presbyterian Church decided to partner with Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) to redevelop their church and create affordable housing, a new worship space, and retail space.
