In the Southeast, Enterprise launched its third Preservation Academy, a series of no-cost trainings and peer learning sessions designed to build the capacity of developers and housing providers to acquire, rehabilitate, and preserve affordable, unsubsidized SMMF rental properties.

Civil rights leader Shirley Sherrod and her late husband Charles devoted their lives to advancing voting rights, solidarity, and wealth building through land ownership. But for a new generation of housing leaders like Devin Culbertson of Grounded Solutions Network, a Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge winner, their story is much more than a history lesson. It’s an urgent call to action.

In his closing remarks at the Housing First Partners Conference in Atlanta, which drew nearly 1,300 leaders, practitioners, and policy makers from 49 states and seven countries, Enterprise CEO & President Shaun Donovan discussed the conditions that resulted in record levels of homelessness across the country and the need to invest in proven solutions like Housing First.
