In May, the Enterprise Women’s Network (EWN) hosted their 10th anniversary book fair at Sandtown-Winchester Achievement Academy in West Baltimore. Through the annual book fair, EWN seeks to put books in the hands of every child and teacher at the school. Students are provided “book bucks” to select their own age-appropriate books that help foster a love of learning and build literacy.

Our 2023 book fair theme was Bolder, Prouder, Stronger Readers!, and we hosted the event outdoors at the school.  Thanks to the generous support of donors, each of the more than 400 students were able to receive books of their choice, and staff were also able to select books for their classrooms. Volunteer readers also joined the festivities and read books to the children. In total, more than 900 books were purchased through the support of our book fair donors.

Thanks to all the generous donors and volunteers for making this cherished community tradition possible.

Donate today to support other Enterprise Women's Network's programing in West Baltimore. Your gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
