Low- and moderate-income individuals and families are struggling to access affordable homes in communities connected to opportunity. And yet, as difficult as the situation already is for many, the affordable housing crisis continues to escalate in cities throughout the country.
For more than 20 years, Capital One Bank, Capital One Foundation and Enterprise have worked together across multiple markets and nationally to stabilize the lives of individuals and families by making well-designed homes affordable.
Capital One’s recent support will help make an impact in three markets. In both Baltimore and Washington, DC, we are providing trainings and direct technical assistance to faith-based organizations to help them produce or preserve affordable homes in their community. Working with the City of New Orleans, we are building the capacity of nonprofit organizations to develop high-quality affordable homes for low- and moderate-income families. In New York, we will expand our Rent-to-Build-Credit program, helping residents to build their credit scores through on-time rental payments.
