Rev. Lucinda Kent

Faith-Based Development Initiative, Sr. Director

Rev. Lucinda Kent serves as senior director of the Faith-Based Development Initiative (FBDI) at Enterprise Community Partners. In this role, she works collaboratively with national leadership, market-based staff, and cross-divisional teams to strengthen and scale Enterprise’s faith-based development work and expand its national impact and influence. Based in the Enterprise Washington, D.C. office, Lucinda supports efforts that help faith communities leverage their assets to advance affordable housing and community development.

Lucinda currently serves part-time as pastor of Van Buren United Methodist Church. She previously served as the Property with Purpose Coordinator for the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church, where she worked directly with congregations exploring how to best utilize their land and property to serve their communities. In that role, she helped churches discern opportunities that aligned faith, mission, and responsible stewardship.

Prior to joining Enterprise, Lucinda served in several leadership roles across both nonprofit and corporate sectors. She was executive director of strategy and operations at the National United Methodist Church and previously served as chief financial officer at the Chevy Chase Land Company. Her professional experience includes strategic planning, operational leadership, and real estate development and property management.

A woman of faith, vision, and impact, Lucinda is deeply committed to building both communities and lives. With extensive experience in faith-based affordable housing initiatives, she has worked at the intersection of ministry and mission—helping create housing solutions that uplift individuals and families while honoring dignity and purpose. She believes that stable housing is more than shelter; it is a foundation for hope, restoration, and generational change. Through her ministry partnerships and professional leadership, Lucinda brings together compassion, integrity, and sound business principles to help cultivate thriving and empowered communities.

Lucinda earned her bachelor’s degree from Providence College and her Master of Divinity degree from Capital Seminary and Graduate School. She is a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, actively serving her community through leadership, service, and advocacy.
