Marjy Stagmeier
Marjy Stagmeier is a nationally recognized affordable housing landlord and a founding partner of Mission Partners, a real estate investment firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Stagmeier has developed a sustainable housing model that targets large, blighted apartment communities near failing elementary schools, and renovates and stabilizes homes through health and education interventions designed around the social determinants of health. In addition to creating safer, affordable apartment communities of choice, Stagmeier and Mission Partners offer free after-school programs, summer camps, on-site health screenings, access to affordable health care services, internet access, and community gardens through pioneering partnerships with federally qualified health clinics, municipalities, public schools, corporations, non-profits, and foundations. Marjy has been involved in the development or preservation of over 3,500 units of affordable rental housing since 1996. She founded and serves as the chief executive of Mission Partners, overseeing the management of the firm and its development projects. She brings her extensive experience with developing catalytic developments, as well as experience with Atlanta Housing, LIHTCs, bond financing, multi-layered financing, Section 8 rental assistance, and resident programs design.
A graduate of Georgia State University, she successfully passed the Georgia CPA exam. She is the board chair of Star-C, board chair of Eduhousing Communities Corporation, past advisory board co-chair of HouseAtl, board member of The Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, and has served as board chair of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, vice president of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, president of the Ansley Park Club and Board Ansley Park Beautification Foundation, and a graduate of Leadership Atlanta.
