Lauren Ross
Lauren (she/her) is the director of energy policy at Enterprise where she oversees the team’s federal policy efforts on clean energy and disaster resilience, advancing the development and preservation of energy-efficient and resilient affordable housing. Before joining Enterprise, she served as the deputy director of energy justice at the U.S. Department of Energy and before that, senior advisor for housing and sustainability at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. She also formerly served as the senior director of policy for the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, where she led the organization’s policy efforts at the local, state, national, and utility levels. She has spent her career conducting program and policy research and providing technical assistance to a variety of stakeholders aimed at advancing equitable clean energy strategies, with an emphasis on accessibility and affordability. Through her previous and current work, Lauren continues to promote energy and resilience solutions that make communities more economically vibrant, healthier, and adaptable. Lauren has a PhD in urban sociology from Temple University.
