Kim Darga

VP, Market Leader - New York

Kim Darga has worked for more than two decades in public policy and affordable housing finance and development. Kim served in various senior leadership roles within New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), the nation’s largest municipal housing agency. Kim most recently served as Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Development at HPD, where she lead the City’s efforts to create and preserve affordable rental and homeownership opportunities. At HPD, Kim crafted programs and initiatives to address a range of housing needs and provided strategic leadership of housing finance programs deploying more than $2 billion in capital annually along with tax benefits and other public incentives. During her tenure, HPD nearly doubled housing production and set records for the most affordable new construction and the most supportive and homeless housing. Prior to joining HPD, Kim worked in various economic development and urban planning capacities in New York City, Dallas, and Beacon, NY. Kim received a Master of Public Policy from University of Michigan.
