Joseph K. Williams, Sr.
Joseph K. Williams, Sr. is an associate director with Enterprise Community Partners, and leads the Faith Based Development Initiative (FBDI) in the Mid-Atlantic Market. Through FBDI, he guides houses of worship in the community development continuum to consider affordable housing facilities and community impact structures that transform lives, create an inheritance and leave a lasting legacy that enhances their communities. Through a model that includes multiple cohorts, he leads training sessions, provides catalytic funding, connects industry professionals and shepherds faith leaders, locally, regionally and nationally.
Additionally, he is an ordained Baptist Minister with 40 years of ministerial service that includes more than 30 years of Pastoral Ministry - as a Senior Pastor in the District of Columbia. He also serves as the Senior Pastor of the Faith United Church of Christ in the District of Columbia. Reverend Williams is a committed and passionate community leader known as subject matter expert in fostering collaborative relationships between government agencies, corporations, and faith communities.
He is a native Washingtonian, who grew up east of the Anacostia River. He is a graduate of the DC Public School System and received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Media Arts from the University of the District of Columbia. In addition, he holds a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University. Reverend Williams has published two books: Move the Needle and Healing for R.A.S.H.E.K.A. (Run-Away Soul Hurth Every Kind-Away).
