John Sullivan

Director, State and Local Policy, Gulf Coast

John Sullivan is the director for state and local policy for the Gulf Coast market. Since 2015, John has been leading Enterprise’s policy development and advocacy work to create stronger, more resilient, and more affordable communities in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Mississippi.  

Prior to joining Enterprise, John served as counsel and policy advisor to former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour as a member of the staff that oversaw Mississippi’s recovery from Hurricane Katrina and later was a consultant to state and local governments on disaster recovery and housing programs. John holds a bachelor’s degree from Millsaps College and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. John serves on the board of directors for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, the Mississippi Association of Affordable Housing Providers, and the Housing Association of Mississippi.
