"I strongly believe that good design that makes a measurable impact on our cities not only engages our neighbors but also provides a holistic support system. The Rose Fellowship will be immensely valuable in teaching me how to become an integral player in the process of improving Philadelphia’s communities."
With People’s Emergency Center (PEC), Lea will support PEC’s strategic investments along Lancaster Avenue, including the renovation of historic Hawthorne Hall. She looks forward to leveraging PEC’s deep roots in the community to create long-standing, positive change.
Prior to the fellowship, Lea worked at the architecture firm KieranTimberlake. At KieranTimberlake, Lea was the founding member and leader of KieranTimberlake Community Involvement, which has committed 1% of staff time to community-focused and pro bono design work. Since 2013, KieranTimberlake has donated thousands of hours towards the support of various projects.
