"Community engagement, affordable housing, and social, economic and environmental sustainability are big passions of mine; the Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellowship presents a unique opportunity to develop my skills in all of those areas. I am thrilled at the opportunity to amplify my impact in our community while gaining a national network of like-minded professionals through Enterprise."

Jess is hosted by Capitol Hill Housing (CHH), an affordable housing and community building organization serving Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood since 1976. At CHH, Jess will work on the redevelopment of the historic Liberty Bank, an important institution in the Central District’s fight against redlining and disinvestment. Jess will help to advance the organization by implementing a comprehensive green building strategy throughout CHH’s portfolio and by identifying new development opportunities throughout Seattle.

Before becoming an Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellow, Jess honed her skills in community-based architecture as a designer at Environmental Works Community Design Center in Seattle. Jess received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Washington, and was a Pomegranate Fellow in 2014. Jess currently serves on the board of directors for the Association for Community Design.
