Section 4 Recipient Spotlight: Mazaska Owecaso Otipi Financial, Inc. (South Dakota)
Proven and effective, Section 4 – officially, the federal Section 4 Capacity Building for Community Development and Affordable Housing Program – strengthens local organizations across the country. Through its annual grants, the program helps organizations find new solutions to create affordable homes and healthy neighborhoods for families, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and other low-income people.
Together with our local partners, Enterprise is multiplying the impact of local affordable housing development and helping families succeed. This case study documents how Mazaska Owecaso Otipi Financial used a Section 4 grant from Enterprise for educating contractors and empowering home purchasers on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to address a critical housing shortage.
