Description

Recorded live on September 25, 2014

The future of sustainability rests in deepening organizational commitment to green. Green needs to be throughout the development and asset management practices of owners of affordable housing and in coordination with larger community efforts. This webinar facilitates an understanding of how to integrate sustainability into an organization’s foundation.

Launched by Enterprise in 2004 as a national initiative, the Green Communities program promotes a holistic approach to enable developers to build and rehabilitate homes that are healthier, more energy efficient and safer for the environment—without compromising affordability. After ten years, we have demonstrated that affordable housing developers and managers can reduce energy and water use, improve indoor air quality, streamline property management processes, effectively engage residents, and create healthier, more vibrant communities through a comprehensive approach to sustainability.
