Health is a core component of the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria. With every update Enterprise Community Partners (Enterprise) pushes the affordable housing field towards developing healthier, greener buildings. The newly launched 2020 Enterprise Green Communities Criteria incorporates criteria to promote the health and wellbeing of residents throughout its 8 categories. Buildings that are certified to the 2020 Enterprise Green Communities Criteria achieve certification as a WELL building with the International WELL Building Institute. This report provides an overview of how health is addressed throughout the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria and a  summarized review of the evidence-base tying specific criteria to improved health outcomes and reduced health costs associated with living in a certified property.
