Embracing Success in Merging Populations: Creating a Partnership Agreement for Affordable Housing Success

This sample Memorandum of Understanding helps affordable housing developers, property management and lead service providers define their individual and joint responsibilities in providing supportive housing.

Over the last two years, Enterprise Community Partners conducted a series of capacity building trainings, “Embracing Success in Merging Populations,” funded by the W.M. Keck Foundation. A common theme throughout the training series has been the importance of establishing the partnership between the developer, property management and lead service provider for the operation of the affordable housing development.

This Memorandum of Understanding is intended to assist the three partners in clearly defining in writing their individual and joint responsibilities for successfully operating affordable housing and providing resident services.
