Creative Placemaking: Working Through Conflicting Priorities

Summary
This webinar is the third in the series where we discuss how community development organizations are aligning responding to immediate stressors while building long-term resilience and are working through these tensions on the ground.
Description

Working with partners over the last year, we have found that resilience priorities and the pressing matters our residents face are not always aligned. We learned from our grantee communities that responding to violence, displacement, deportation, and job insecurity often take the forefront, and an expanded notion of resilience takes that into account. Knowing that communities experiencing deep inequity are often the most disproportionately impacted by unpredictable challenges related to climate change, we learned that being responsive to short-term challenges is equally as important to thinking about long-term sustainability of communities. In this webinar, we discuss how community development organizations are aligning responding to immediate stressors while building long-term resilience and are working through these tensions on the ground.
