March 16, 2017 - Enterprise is very disheartened by the Trump Administration’s 2018 Budget, or “skinny budget,” including the devastating $6.2 billion in proposed cuts to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the elimination of the CDFI Fund. These cuts would profoundly damage America’s ability to invest in well-designed homes that are made affordable and located in communities connected to good schools, jobs, transit and health care. Given the unprecedented 12 million households who now pay at least half of their monthly income on rent and utilities, the proposed cuts could not come at a worse time. The impact would go way beyond budget dollars, with damaging effects on people and communities, lives and livelihoods for years to come.

Read the Enterprise blog post detailing the extreme cuts to housing and community development programs in the skinny budget.
