COLUMBIA, Md. (November 11, 2020) - Enterprise Community Partners congratulates the incoming Biden-Harris administration as we turn our focus to meeting the urgency of this moment.

We must begin by building an equitable recovery from Covid-19 and advancing racial equity through home and community. Home is the essential foundation for equity, resilience and upward mobility, and yet far too many Americans can’t afford one.

It is time for concrete action. We look forward to working with President-elect Joe Biden, Vice President-elect Harris, incoming members of his administration and the 117th Congress to make his pledge of investing $640 billion over 10 years in quality, affordable homes a reality. A bipartisan effort by the White House and Congress to achieve these promises would be life-changing for millions of families nationwide. Beyond the particulars of his plan, we are also heartened to hear President-elect Biden call out so clearly the scourge of systemic racism in our country. The history of housing in America is a history of systemic racism and it’s one we need to confront directly.

With the expertise of the largest affordable housing policy team in the country, Enterprise stands ready to do the hard work ahead to ensure every American has access to a home and community that are places of pride, power and belonging. Now is the time.
