COLUMBIA, Md. – September 22, 2016 – Today, Enterprise Advisors Inc. (Enterprise Advisors), part of the Enterprise Community Partners Inc. (Enterprise) family of companies, extended its services to state Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) across the country, expanding assistance it already provides to municipalities, nonprofits and regional bodies.

State HFAs are a critical part of the affordable housing delivery system across the country and are the leaders in addressing affordable housing needs in their respective states.  In conjunction with The Chatman Group, a closely held consulting firm, Enterprise Advisors will partner with HFAs to further their collective mission, offering a range of organizational, programmatic, technical assistance and financial services.

“Enterprise’s decades of experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, asset management, fair housing, HUD compliance and organizational development positions Enterprise Advisors well to assist HFAs in reaching their goals,” said Paul Bernard, vice president, Enterprise Advisors. “As we look to grow our advisory services across a range of new clients, HFAs represent an excellent opportunity to help fulfill our goal to end housing insecurity in the country.”

The U.S. is in the midst of a broad housing insecurity crisis that is affecting nearly 19 million housing insecure families who are homeless or paying more than half of their monthly income on housing. Enterprise’s generational goal is to end housing insecurity in the U.S. through quality affordable housing connected to good schools, jobs, transit and health care.

“HFAs are a key component of the nation’s affordable housing delivery system.  Enterprises’ expertise in all aspects of affordable housing will be useful to many HFAs,” commented Eric Chatman, president, The Chatman Group, LLC. “I am excited about the opportunity to help leverage the capabilities of Enterprise Advisors and the HFA community.”

Over the last 40 years, HFAs have provided significant resources and expertise to address affordable housing needs. As a group, they are strong financially, have a solid track record of accomplishment and have exhibited the programmatic agility to adapt to changing market realities. Their intimate local market knowledge has enabled them to design location specific strategies to address housing insecurity in their respective states.
