The Greens at Hammonds Lane’s design focuses on energy efficiency and conservation of raw material including energy-efficient, double-pane, low-E windows; water-conserving plumbing fixtures; Energy Star appliances; energy-saving light fixtures; Green Label carpet and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems. Rents include residents’ heat and air conditioning. The Greens at Hammonds Lane meets the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria.

Outdoor amenities include a covered entrance porch, paved patios off of the community room, a library with computer terminals, raised planter beds, a pool table and a horseshoe court. Interior common areas include a community room, TV lounge and sports bar, activity room, laundry room, mail room and fitness room, which are interconnected and centrally located within the building to encourage socializing among residents.

The Greens at Hammonds Lane is conveniently located within a 1.5 mile radius of several large shopping centers that include retail and grocery stores. Public transportation, including light rail, is also close by. The thriving Brooklyn Park Senior Center and the Chesapeake Center for the Arts are within walking distance.
