Ednor Apartments II

Ednor Apartments is the development of 85 affordable apartments (four of which are market-rate units) for seniors at the former Memorial Stadium site.

The four-story building features two elevators, controlled access entry, an activity room with kitchen, a computer center with free internet access, laundry facilities, lounges and a hospitality suite. These apartments are part of the Stadium Place Retirement Community – one of Baltimore City’s communities for seniors 55 years and older.

The apartments range in size from 627 to 939 square feet. Fifty-nine are one-bedroom, one-bath apartments, and 26 offer two bedrooms with two baths. Each apartment includes a fully-equipped kitchen with a pass through to the open living and dining area, a large walk-in closet, ceramic tile-surround shower, carpeting and vinyl flooring. Ednor Apartments II is designed and equipped with special features to accommodate the needs of seniors, especially as they age in place. All apartments are adaptable to persons with disabilities and ten units are fully handicapped-accessible, including two apartments for vision and/or hearing impaired residents.

The building’s courtyard creates a green oasis within this urban setting with a large porch, potted plants, trees and perennial garden. The community room and lounge patio lead out to the terrace, where residents can enjoy an outdoor setting.

As an integrated senior community, the Stadium Place campus offers a variety of additional amenities to Ednor II residents. All of the activities and spaces at the three other senior buildings and the YMCA are open to Ednor II residents. These include “Thanksgiving Place,” a beautifully landscaped sacred space with a labyrinth and garden; an Eating Together program; volunteer and job opportunities; legal services; a movie theatre; beauty salon; convenience store; religious and intergenerational programs.
