Opportunity Council is celebrating the grand opening of 22 North in Bellingham, Washington! This development created 40 homes for families, including 27 set aside for homeless individuals, with a preference given to youth.
Opportunity Council and Northwest Youth Services will provide services for mental health, educational readiness, financial literacy, and life skills. 22 North is located in a lively neighborhood of southwest Bellingham with access to grocery and healthcare services. Employment and educational opportunities are a short distance from the property and are readily accessible through public transportation.
Heritage provided $5.15 million of construction financing. Permanent financing included $1.0 million from a City Levy and $430,000 from a Northwest Youth Services Loan. Enterprise provided $7.1 million in equity on behalf of Heritage.
