Enterprise's Northern California team is compiling local, state and federal Covid-19 tools and resources for low-income housing and service providers, nonprofits, residents and small businesses. We will provide regular updates on this page and on social media. You can also follow Enterprise’s list of national resources and federal policy response.

Northern California Philanthropic Response

Across the region community foundations are setting up Covid-19 emergency response funds to assist community members, small businesses and nonprofits. These links provide access on how to apply for funds as well as ways to donate to the funds.

    • Call-Em-All delivers personalized, informational, emergency text messages and phone calls fast—up to 500,000 people
    • Rezility is a free mobile app that empowers users to engage with their communities
  • Multi-Lingual Public Health Resources:
  • In-person engagement: If you or staff need to engage with residents in person, please wear gloves and a mask, keep a 6-foot distance between people and remember the virus can live on clothing, shoes, and hair. If you must come into close contact with someone, change clothes and wash hands to prevent spread to others.

Rental Assistance

  • Oakland: If you are a resident of Oakland, and your household makes less than 50 percent of area median income, then you are eligible for emergency rental assistance, legal representation and other housing services. Please contact Keep Oakland Housed for assistance.
  • Berkeley: If you are a resident of Berkeley, and your household makes less than 80 percent of area median income, then you are eligible for up to $15,000 in emergency rental assistance. You can find information about how to apply here.

Food Security and Supply Donations

  • Alameda County Food Bank is in urgent need of volunteers for warehouse food sorting, general office support, emergency food helpline or special skills (technical or bilingual). Register here for one of their open slots or contact them at volunteer@accfb.org or by calling our volunteer team at 510.635.3663, ext. 308.
  • The Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano Counties is looking for volunteers and donations.
  • White Pony Express is providing food delivery to residents in Contra Costa County. Donate or volunteer.
  • East Oakland Collective is collecting essential supplies for our unhoused neighbors and also has an Amazon Wish List, click here.
  • Protective Gear: Contact Gloria Bruce at gloria@ebho.org if you have protective gear (N95 masks, wipes, gloves, gowns, sanitizer) that you would like to donate to health care providers at Kaiser Hospital. No donation too small.
  • Apply for CalFresh: See if you qualify for ongoing food assistance from the State of California through CalFresh.
  • Find your nearest Meals on Wheels provider to volunteer or to receive a meal if you are a senior.
  • Oakland Schools are providing free meals for their students at several locations.

  • San Francisco Department of Disability and Aging Services website
  • Available services for seniors in Sonoma County in English and Spanish
  • “Well Connected” offers free classes and group learning by telephone for seniors
  • Oakland At Risk (also serving Piedmont, San Leandro and Alameda residents) pairs lower-risk adults with higher-risk adults to coordinate food delivery, prescription pickup, and other support.
