Island Walk Youth Invited to Ride Board Supervisor Cathy Hudgins’ Float in Reston Holiday Parade

Fairfax County Board Supervisor Cathy Hudgins personally extended an invitation to Island Walk youth to ride on her float in the Reston Holiday Parade. Eight of our amazing and energetic children came out on a chilly November day to support Supervisor Hudgins and represent the Island Walk community. The youth had the honor of riding on a hay ride sponsored by Frying Pan Farm Park through the streets of Reston Town Center.

“It was an amazing experience to be riding through our town parade with smiles on our faces and a cold breeze coming through,” said Zubaida, 15. We’d love to thank Supervisor Cathy Hudgins for letting the children of Island Walk ride along with her in the hay ride. The cold tried to push us out, but Reston’s workforce pushed though. The Island Walk youth would love to support the Reston Holiday Parade again next year in any way they can!
