Enterprise’s New York Gotham Society Hosts Volunteer Event

Last month, the Enterprise Gotham Society teamed up with the Doe Fund to provide mock interviews and resume building for homeless New Yorkers seeking employment. A critical milestone on the pathway to finding an affordable home is obtaining a stable job. The Doe Fund connects formerly incarcerated or homeless men to employment opportunities, assisting them as they make these life transitions.

Gotham volunteers gave a few hours of their night to make a big impact on Doe Fund participants, empowering them with the necessary tools to enter the workforce. Gotham volunteers, in addition to interviewing the participants, provided both verbal and written feedback so they can continue to hone their skills. The practice session allowed the participants to build confidence and comfort in an interview setting and get feedback on their speaking skills and resumes.
Enterprise would like to thank all the volunteers who made the evening such a success and to the Doe Fund for leading this session and for providing critical opportunities for its participants every day.
