The Face of Impact - Lemora at CAMBA Gardens

Lemora, resident at CAMBA Gardens I

When you invest in the Enterprise Community Impact Note, you are supporting the creation of vibrant and equitable communities where families have access to healthy, affordable homes connected to good schools, jobs, transit and health care services. This is your Social Return on Investment.

Below is a story of a resident at CAMBA Gardens who is prospering thanks to your support.

Lemora became homeless as a teenager and spent years living between shelters and the streets before securing housing at CAMBA Gardens I just eight months ago. She was sleeping in a public park when a park employee pointed her in the direction of a homeless outreach organization, which assisted her with her housing search.

With a stable home at CAMBA Gardens I, Lemora is now able to better manage her mental health and take steps toward reclaiming her children, who were placed into foster care due to her circumstances. While she suffered severe trauma during her time on the streets, she feels that the support of the CAMBA case management staff, along with the security of having a home and the consistency of meetings with her counselor, have provided her with a platform necessary to succeed.
