Celebrating San Francisco's Mission Family Housing

Tenderloin Neighborhood

Congratulations to the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) on the equity and bond closing for 1036 Mission Family Housing in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco! TNDC will build 83 apartments for families that will be affordable between 20% and 50% of the area median income. Forty apartments will be reserved for the formerly homeless, with an ongoing rental subsidy from the City of San Francisco.

Energy-Efficient and Close to Public Transit

This energy-efficient, Transit Oriented Development is within several blocks of the Civic Center BART Station, and will feature a rooftop garden, a teaching kitchen, and a stormwater reclamation system. Chase will provide $31.3 million of construction financing, with permanent financing from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development; the California Department of Housing and Community Development; and the San Francisco Federal Home Loan Bank through Silicon Valley Bank. Enterprise will provide $22.9 million of equity.
