Announcing the AHF Readers' Choice Awards Winners
We’re excited to announce that three separate projects supported by Enterprise have been named winners of the Affordable Housing Finance 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards! This year’s competition began with 87 nominations, which were narrowed down to 34 finalists in a total of nine categories. AHF magazine and newsletter subscribers then voted for the winners in each category, and there was also an Editor’s Choice selection.
The Enterprise recipients are:
- Green Development: An Enterprise grant enabled the Orchards at Orenco in Hillsboro, Oregon, to hold a design charrette for what became an exceptionally energy-efficient development.
- Public Housing Redevelopment: Enterprise provided technical assistance and facilitation support to ensure the smooth transition of 1,400 public housing apartments in San Francisco to community-based nonprofit housing developers.
- Rural: An Enterprise equity investment helped transform the historic Bowman Hotel in Nogales, Arizona, into the Bowman Senior Residences, which now provide 48 affordable units for individuals over 62.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote in this competition. The AHF website includes separate pages on each of the winners. Please share with your networks this recognition of the multiple ways Enterprise helps provide quality affordable housing.
