Action Alert: Urge Congress to Preserve and Fully Fund the Section 4 Capacity Building Program

REMINDER: Letter Urging Full Funding of Section 4 Capacity Building Program Closes Today

Join more than 800 state and local organizations from around the country signing on to support the Section 4 Capacity Building and Affordable Housing program. Despite its proven success,  the Administration proposed to eliminate the Section 4 program in its FY 2016 budget request. This proposal jeopardizes crucial investments across the nation’s urban and rural low-income communities. It is critical to show Congress the breadth of organizations that support the Section 4 Program.

Section 4 is the sole Department of Housing and Urban Development program for nonprofit capacity building. This critical program ensures that community-based organizations throughout the nation’s low-income urban and rural communities have adequate resources to create and sustain jobs, increase housing production, and preserve the vitality and affordability of existing housing development. The deadline to sign on is today, February 27th at 5 p.m. EST.
