Wells Fargo Housing Foundation
Federal resources for affordable housing are declining, even as the need is accelerating. This alarming trend has a disproportionate impact on seniors, millennials and families, and is even more acute for the most vulnerable in each of those cohorts. Working with cities, counties and states to help them develop strong policies, resources and programs is critical to creating and preserving quality, affordable housing connected to opportunity.
Thanks to the support of the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, Enterprise’s State & Local Policy Team is working with key stakeholders at various levels in Atlanta, Chicago, California, Denver, the Gulf Coast, Maryland, Miami, New York, Ohio and the Pacific Northwest to advance location-specific housing solutions, while at the same time assessing the efficacy of specific policies and recommendations in connecting people to opportunity.
Wells Fargo Housing Foundation is also partnering with Enterprise to help Tribal communities open the door to homeownership on Tribal land through development financing, housing needs assessments, program models and a range of trainings. The effort aims to address the critical shortage of quality, affordable housing available to Native Americans on pueblos and reservations across the nation.
In the Mid-Atlantic, Wells Fargo is helping us spur affordable housing development within the faith-based community, converting unused or underused church-owned land to develop homes for low- and middle-income community members.
