Laura and John Arnold Foundation
Local governments in economically-challenged cities often struggle to create and promote jobs and reduce poverty. With a focus on strengthening social, governmental and economic systems to improve people’s lives, the Laura and John Arnold Foundation partnered with us to help cities tackle their most pressing economic and systemic challenges through the Enterprise-facilitated National Resource Network (NRN).
The National Resource Network works with local leaders to identify practical solutions, share real-world expertise and best practices, and help cities develop the tools and strategies they need to grow their economies. The consortium of Network partners is comprised of private and public sector organizations, including Enterprise, as well as Public Financial Management, HR&A Advisors, New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and the International City/County Management Association, among others.
The generous support of the Laura and John Arnold Foundation enables NRN to develop and assist in the implementation of multi-year financial plans for five economically challenged cities. In addition, a competition among states is being developed to drive the broader adoption of state resource networks to complement federal funding.
