Steve Gimilaro is vice president of Credit for Enterprise Housing Credit Investments, LLC, Enterprise’s Low-Income Housing Tax Credit syndication business. He reviews and identifies potential underwriting priorities on deals brought to EHCI’s screening committee, evaluates full underwriting packages and is responsible for credit approval of housing credit transactions. He also develops policies and procedures and provides initial and ongoing training to syndication staff.
Steve was part of Enterprise’s LIHTC syndication practice from 1993 to 1997, handling all aspects of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit acquisitions for projects throughout the country. Between 1997 and 2000, he worked for The Community Builders, a national nonprofit development corporation, where he designed and closed financing plans for a variety of innovative projects. Steve returned to Enterprise in 2000 and continued to develop his underwriting expertise. He eventually served in the Credit department and, subsequently, as an internal advisor within the Acquisitions team. This involved providing as-needed technical support, overseeing the team’s due diligence collection, review and retention processes, and creating and refining underwriting practices. He rejoined the Credit team in 2019.
Steve has a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University and holds a master’s of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
