Juanita Salinas-Aguila

Program Director, Pacific Northwest

Juanita Salinas-Aguila has joined Enterprise’s Seattle team as program director. Juanita will oversee the Early Learning Facilities Fund work through the Home and Hope Initiative. With deep experience in both early learning and building strong community partnerships, Juanita will bring an expert perspective to this work.

Juanita comes to Enterprise from Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD), where she developed and managed high-quality early learning support programs for children and families. Her years in the early learning field include being an assistant teacher, a dual language learner specialist and a program manager.

Prior to that, Juanita worked in social services providing access to childcare for families experiencing homelessness in the Seattle area. This work sparked a passion for ensuring that children and families have access to quality, affordable housing. Juanita has also spent many years engaging in racial equity work and is passionate about the inclusion of diverse, underrepresented communities within education.

Juanita was born in Seattle to Salvadoran immigrants. Her family’s immigration story and childhood experiences drives her commitment to racial, social and economic justice for communities of color. Juanita holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University in American Cultural Studies, and a master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University in California.
