Dr. Hara Wright-Smith is director of public sector consulting for Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. (Enterprise Advisors). In this role, she oversees and leads in the delivery of capacity building and technical assistance engagements derived from contracts with federal agencies, units of local government, nonprofit organizations philanthropy and other sources.

Her professional background spans over 15 years in the areas of housing and community development, community reinvestment consulting, entrepreneurship and education. She has served in various leadership capacities across the Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania region. Hara advanced cutting-edge policy research in her role as a senior housing policy researcher for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. Her knowledge of affordable housing and community economic development has been broadly recognized, which allowed her to serve with other Maryland state leaders, as a key contributor and lead staff member for various Maryland state committees, including task forces, commissions and workgroups.

Hara has also maintained her own consulting firm, Community Reinvestment Consulting. As owner and principal, she has worked as an independent contractor for both public and private entities that possess a civic mission and seek opportunities to achieve their affordable housing and community development goals. She secured business relationships with financial institutions, city governments, foundations, and faith-based and other nonprofits, including The Annie E. Casey Foundation and Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government.  

Hara has also dedicated her professional experiences to education at the university level, holding positions as professor of business and entrepreneurship for two academic institutions, Lincoln University (Pennsylvania) and Wesley College (Delaware), and providing academic instruction for both undergraduate and adult learners. Her service to education extended to other leadership capacities, including her work as director of MBA programs and director of the entrepreneurship program.
