As vice president leading the Fund Investment Reporting and Management (FIRM) group, Erik Apahnis oversees a team that provides fund level reporting and analysis to investors on over 120 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) funds. Erik is also the business representative to Enterprise’s Information Technology group, collaborating on improved technology and process solutions across the LIHTC business.
Prior to becoming director, Erik served as a senior underwriter where he worked with development partners to underwrite and close investments in affordable multifamily housing developments across the country ranging from $5 million to $25 million. He joined Enterprise in 2005.
Prior to joining Enterprise, Erik was in graduate school where he worked for a regional syndicator, analyzing investment opportunities and marketing the company. He also interned at the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, focusing on the sustainability of affordable housing properties approaching the end of their compliance period and helping to develop the state’s Year 15 policies and procedures.
He received a B.A. in political science and communications from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., and a Master of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
