Cathy Kim is a program director at Enterprise Community Partners. Cathy joined Enterprise in 2014 as a program officer to develop and implement Come Home NYC, which connects families experiencing homelessness to affordable housing and services. This project has greatly informed the homelessness systems change and policy level work at Enterprise. Currently, Cathy leads Enterprise’s New York based Vulnerable Populations team, which is committed to leveraging affordable housing tools to create opportunity for low- to moderate-income households, especially those at risk of or experiencing homelessness and seniors. In this role, Cathy develops new models to combine housing and services, advocates for necessary resources and policies, directs the strategic use of funding sources and provides technical assistance to organizations providing permanent housing for vulnerable households.
Throughout her career, Cathy has been committed to developing innovative ways to use housing as a platform to create access to economic opportunity. She previously worked at the New York City Housing Authority where she helped the agency rethink and implement how residents are connected to services and opportunity. Cathy started her career in community development in the Peace Corps South Africa and has a Bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University.
