Ben Nichols is vice president of national initiatives for Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. Ben’s leadership has been instrumental in spearheading a national conversation to address issues that impact the sustainability of our partners. He oversees a growing new line of fee-for-service consulting services to identify risks, challenges and solutions for housing portfolios and organizations. Previously, in his role as director, Ben divided his time between Ohio and Partner Sustainability.
Prior to joining Enterprise in 2002, Ben was the rural initiative project coordinator for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. Ben managed 12 federally funded supportive housing grants with a combined budget of $1.3 million. He oversaw ongoing technical assistance and training to executive directors and case managers at 17 rural subgrantee nonprofit agencies in Colorado. In addition, he prepared statistical progress reports for HUD and ensured integrity of data from subgrantees.
Ben holds an MBA and a certificate of nonprofit management from Weatherhead School of Management (Case Western Reserve University) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
