Five years ago, Enterprise launched Green Communities, the first national green building program focused entirely on affordable housing, with a bold aspiration to prove that green and affordable can be one and the same. Today, Enterprise has invested more than $700 million dollars in green affordable housing developments across the country. From the onset of the program, Enterprise set out to measure the effectiveness of the Green Communities Criteria in delivering health, economic and environmental benefits.
The results of this analysis are documented in a new report, Incremental Cost, Measurable Savings: Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, a first-of-its-kind study showing the cost effectiveness of meeting Enterprise Green Communities Criteria.
