The term "intake" refers to the initial process that occurs when a customer enters a workforce development program seeking employment. It begins with basic data collection that includes:

  • Eligibility determination: Learn what funding stream the customer might qualify for.
  • Program orientation: Explain what services the customer can expect and the rules of the program the customer must follow, such as attendance and dress code requirements.
  • Basic data collection: Collect the customer's demographic information that will be included in his or her file.
