Enterprise Columbus is a lead partner in the Community Development Collaborative of Greater Columbus. The partnership has:
- Provided $8.5 million in grants and loans to increase the production of affordable housing by 11 community-based organizations working in the city’s poorest neighborhoods.
- Helped local partners produce nearly 5,000 rental and homeownership opportunities for low-income families.
- Invested $16 million to help finance economic development projects in some of Columbus’ poorest neighborhoods.
The Four Corners project in northeast Columbus is the first new significant commercial development in the Linden community in almost 40 years. It represents a public-private investment of more than $13 million that sparked new construction and attractive rehabilitation of older commercial structures, including the Central Ohio Transit Authority’s flagship transit center, Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority’s new headquarters, a State Farm Insurance office building, a Dollar General store, and a Neighborhood Policing Center. The Clarence D. Lumpkin Point of Pride Building is the last link in the visionary Four Corners project. It will provide 21,000 square feet of office and retail space. Enterprise Columbus spearheaded this $3.6 million project and provided operational support and technical expertise to the Greater Linden Development Corporation, which will make its future home in the building.
